MMA uses a variety of techniques involving arm and hand strikes, boxing style Muay Thai or kickboxing style which are modified and also involves leg kicks, takedowns and ground control. Boxing is a punching story and you are not allowed to punch the person below the waistline, punch the down opponent or grab the opponent and throw on the floor but MMA allows grabbing the opponent, throwing on a floor and holds. These are the main differences between the MMA and Boxing but all depends on the gloves of the fighter and if you are interested you should need to invest in the quality gloves for MMA and boxing to survive in the match.
